Coronavirus: Simplified

This is a post for all cases of the coronavirus in the U.S., updated daily. I'm making it easy to keep track of the cases with so many news articles!

Case 1: Seattle, WA - A man in his 30s returning from Wuhan, China, tested positive for the virus. This marked the first case of the coronavirus in the U.S.

Case 2: Chicago, IL - A woman in her 60s returning from Wuhan, China, tested positive for the virus.

Case 3: Orange County, CA - An individual returning from Wuhan, China, tested positive for the virus.

Case 4: Los Angeles County, CA - An individual returning from Wuhan, China, tested positive for the virus.

Case 5: Maricopa County, AZ - An individual with ties to Arizona State University tested positive for the virus.

Case 6: Chicago, IL - The husband of the woman in her 60s who had returned from Wuhan, China (see Case 2), tested positive for the virus though he hadn't been to China. This marked the first human-to-human transition of the virus in the U.S.

Case 7: Santa Clara County, CA - A man who recently traveled to Wuhan, China, tested positive for the virus.

Case 8: Boston, MA - A man in his 20s returning from Wuhan, China, tested positive for the virus.

Case 9: Santa Clara County, CA - A woman from China arriving in the U.S. for travel tested positive for the virus.

Cases 10 & 11: San Benito County, CA - A husband and wife, both 57 years of age, tested positive for the virus. The husband had recently traveled to Wuhan, China, infecting his wife sometime after he returned.

Case 12: Madison, Wisconsin - A man who returned from Beijing tested positive for the virus.
