With "Trunk or Treat" getting more and more popular throughout many neighbors, people are opting out of the traditional Trick or Treat and choosing this "safer" alternative. But is it a better option? No. It's because it takes all of the spirit of Halloween away. Halloween is supposed to be a day of dressing up in costumes and walking around your neighborhood with friends and the scariest time of day (night). It's also encountering scary neighbors dressed up in costumes. Halloween isn't supposed to be about collecting candy in a parking lot. People are overlooking what Halloween is supposed to be about for children, and with this trend spreading across the nation, it may as well ruin future Halloweens for our children.
