The OnePlus 6T Is Here, But Is It Worth Buying?

The OnePlus brand is not the most known, but it's still popular. In my opinion, OnePlus has some of the best and most affordable phones, which has given them a positive reputation throughout the years. Just this month, people are starting to get their hands on OnePlus's new phone, the OnePlus 6T. The OnePlus 6T should be similar to its predecessor that was released earlier this year, the OnePlus 6. However, we'll see about that as we start diving into the specs.

To begin, the back of the phone has a dual camera setup with two cameras stacked on top of each other. There's a flashlight under that, and right below the flashlight is the OnePlus logo. Not too much going on here, but you will notice the fact that there is no fingerprint sensor on the back compared to other OnePlus phones. It turns out, the fingerprint sensor is actually under the front display, and that's what we're going to be talking about next.

The screen is a 6.41-inch Optic AMOLED, and the OnePlus website claims for it to have an 86% screen-to-body ratio. This isn't surprising, considering the bezels are small and the notch is tiny compared to other grooves out there. Now, onto the in-display fingerprint sensor. It's a fantastic feature, and it looks quite fast. It's worth taking a shot at.

Some last inner specs are that the phone has a Snapdragon 845 processor, up to 8GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of storage. The OnePlus 6T also has a Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) feature, which could be useful if you take plenty of photos. Like other phones out there now, there's no headphone jack.

The last thing is the price. The cheapest model, the Mirror Black with 6GB RAM + 128GB Storage costs $549, the same amount as the OnePlus 6. You can get other options with more RAM and Storage too, as well as get different colors. The most expensive one is the Midnight Black version with 8GB RAM + 256GB Storage, and it costs $629.00, which is not a lot for a phone, especially one like this. Overall, if you need a phone, this is probably the most bang for your buck you'll be getting, and you better snatch it up during the holidays to get the deal possible.
